Anderson County Warrant Division
For county-level warrant service questions, contact the Anderson County Sheriff's Office Warrant Division at (864) 260-4412, (864) 260-4413, or (864) 260-4414. Published phone hours are weekdays, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., except holidays. The office is at 305 Camson Road, Anderson, SC 29625. Call first; the Sheriff's site does not describe a public walk-in warrant lookup. The division can help route a county service question, but the issuing court controls case orders and recall.
For records requests to the Sheriff's Office, see its FOIA instructions or write to foia@andersonsheriff.com. A FOIA request seeks an existing record and may be subject to statutory exemptions, fees, and response schedules. It is not an instant warrant search.
Anderson County Court Clerks
- Clerk of Court: 100 South Main Street, Anderson; (864) 260-4053. Ask about General Sessions files, docket entries, or the clerk's routing for a case.
- Anderson Central Summary Court: 2404 North Main Street, Anderson; (864) 260-4156 or (864) 260-4055. Its published public counter schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. for general transactions and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. for traffic.
- Bond Court: (864) 231-3119. The county publishes daily bond proceedings at 6:30 a.m. and 4 p.m.; contact the court to verify the procedure for a particular matter.
When a matter is connected to a municipal ticket, call the city court named on the citation. Anderson Municipal Court is at 401 South Main Street, Anderson, and lists (864) 231-2271. Belton City Court lists (864) 338-7773. Phone routing and court schedules can change, so verify before visiting.
Which Office Should Receive the Question?
- Outstanding county warrant: ask the Sheriff's Warrant Division which office controls the status and whether an in-person step is required.
- Missed court appearance or bench warrant: contact the court that scheduled the case. A county-wide search cannot substitute for that court's docket.
- General Sessions criminal case: start with the Clerk of Court, then follow the clerk's instructions for the assigned court or judge.
- Traffic citation or payment: use the South Carolina Traffic Ticket Search for eligible citations and call the issuing court when a case is absent or the disposition is unclear.
- Emergency or immediate danger: call 911. For a non-emergency sheriff dispatch route, ACSO publishes (864) 260-4444.
Take note of the name of the office, the date of the call, and any case number or instructions provided. Do not assume a payment, an online status, or an absence from a public list has changed a separate court order.
